Commercial Grow Systems

The Need for a Specialized HVAC System

There are several considerations when designing the ideal HVAC system for commercial grow rooms. Here’s why:

Temperature and Humidity – Grow rooms have to be set with specific temperature and humidity ranges. These ranges can vary depending on the crop however, too little or too much humidity can easily  spoil the crop so these levels must be maintained.

Energy Consumption – Grow rooms are known to be extremely energy intensive. In addition to needing powerful HVAC systems to keep their temperature and humidity levels within the right range, they also require an incredible amount of energy for specialized lighting. Most of the time, the lights are on 24-hours a day.

Odor Management – With such a high concentration of marijuana plants in one place, grow rooms typically  produce an overwhelming aroma within a small space.  With the proper commercial HVAC system in place, these odors can be minimized.

The ideal HVAC system must help solve, if not mitigate, the problems that arise from operating a commercial grow facility.  KMS is well versed in the needs of these facilities in Tulsa and how to ensure the right balance of air quality is obtained.
